The Mission of the Coalition is “to provide a coordinated, compassionate and effective environment to help homeless persons achieve self-sufficiency through the preservation and creation of affordable housing, prevention of homelessness, restoration of homeless persons to stable living environments, and promotion of community awareness of homelessness issues through education, legislative advocacy, mutual support and the sharing of resources.
This month's meeting will be held in person at the Bremerton Salvation Army on September 20, 2023 at 2-4pm. Since Project Connect is one of our main priorities at KHHC, we wanted to make sure to properly start planning as a group. There is a Project Connect working group in place but the monthly meeting will be an opportunity to help in other areas or learn more about how to contribute. Project Connect occurs at the end of January each year and provides helpful services to low-income Kitsap residents. It also serves as a Point-in-Time count center and is a meaningful way to connect to other organizations in our area.
